Disclosure Policy

We want our world to be a more culturally and ecologically sensitive, tolerant and respectful place. With that in mind, we are not only focused on the betterment of ourselves but on contributing to the betterment of others. We have created Minimalist Journeys to help others

  • live a happier, more intentional and less wasteful life; and
  • explore the world in a more sustainable way.

To be able to do this, we spend time developing our website and regularly adding good quality content to it — time which we can’t dedicate to other paid work.

We really enjoy sharing our learnings with you, our audience, and we would like to continue dedicating our time to our website. That’s why we have decided to include on our website

  • advertisements (which generate a tiny amount of income for us when you click on them); and
  • affiliate links (which generate a tiny amount of income for us when you purchase anything via these links). Neither of these will cost you anything. Quite the opposite: at times, we may be able to pass on discounts to you.

In the future, we may also include sponsored content, for example to provide an opinion on products and services received (which would generate a very modest amount of income for us when you read it). Sponsored content would be clearly marked as such.

In accordance with various guidelines, we hereby disclose that we may be compensated if consumers choose to read sponsored content and/or utilise links located throughout this website.

That said, we value the Minimalist Journeys brand above any short-term compensation. We are making a long-term investment in this website and will not publish anything that compromises our integrity. In other words, we will not lie to you to earn a few bucks. We always provide our honest opinion, findings, beliefs or experiences. The views and opinions expressed on our website are our own.

Please do the appropriate research before participating in any third party offers. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
